I no longer maintain an independent research program.  My interests are in infectious diseases, specifically viral infections.  I have worked extensively on the varicella-zoster virus in the past and continue to maintain an active interest.  My present efforts are in the realm of clinical research.  I participate in the studies of the Washington University AIDS Clinical Trials Unit.
